He was speaking at the inaugural session of the three-day Jharkhand Travel Mart a B2B event on Friday. As many as 150 buyers from different markets and over 500 travel agents and 75 exhibitors are attending the event.

Jharkhand is a land of forests and the cities in the State developed around the natural beauty said Tourism Minister. He further added there are dams and forests around Jamshedpur and Bokaro. The State was planning to promote domestic as well as international tourism in a big way by exploiting heritage trails, tribal tourism, wildlife resorts, religious tourism, handicrafts and medical tourism. The state with over three crore domestic tourists is currently ranks 9th in the county.
