Top officials discuss Integrated Smart Parking system
The city wide Integrated smart parking guidance and management system came up for discussion at a high level meeting held today.

Director General of Police Mahender Reddy, Principal Secretary MAUD Arvind Kumar, GHMC Commissioner Janardhan Reddy, HMDA Commissioner Chiranjeevulu, HMR Rail MD N V S Reddy, Additional DGP Jitender and other officials attended the meeting.
The main objective of the ISPMS is to overcome the rising demand for parking space, address the traffic congestion and streamline the traffic flow and to induct traffic discipline and provide better visibility for enforcement. The scope of the project is in two parts covering city wide within GHMC limits, Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda Police Commissionerate jurisdictions. The scope of the project includes on street parking, off street parking and parking guidance system. The salient features of the ISPMS include integration to central command and control centre and disaster management, dynamic parking space booking support and help desk services.
The meeting also discussed about the general requirements at parking site locations which include security systems at site locations such as video surveillance, alerts on hot listed vehicle database, smart lighting system at site locations, facilities at site locations such as rest rooms, site maintenance and repairs.
Identification and finalization of off street parking land for multilevel and open parking, temporary and permanent parking lots finalization and revenue sharing in PPP model are some of the issues which came up for discussion.
