UoH team attends Erasmus Innotal project meet in Philippines

A three-member team Professors J Prabhakar Rao, Siva Prasad Rambhatla and Vasuki Belavadi from the University of Hyderabad (UoH) attended a three-day preparatory meeting of the Erasmus+ Innotal project held in Baguio, Philippines.

​Hyderabad: A three-member team Professors J Prabhakar Rao, Siva Prasad Rambhatla and Vasuki Belavadi from the University of Hyderabad (UoH) attended a three-day preparatory meeting of the Erasmus+ Innotal project held in Baguio, Philippines.

The three-day meeting, held at Benguet State University, La Trinidad, between March 20-22 focussed on reviewing the current capacity of each university from the Philippines, Nepal, India and Sri Lanka to promote graduates’ employability and develop students’ talent through innovation.

The discussions were aimed at helping the EU partners in the following months to develop a screening report on each Partner Country University. In the meeting they also discussed the modalities involved in taking the entire project through, including outcomes and deadlines.

The E-Learning Centre team made presentations on Higher Education in India and Telangana and participated in focus group discussions that were aimed at helping the participating universities develop a report based on a scorecard developed by the INNOTAL core team. The ELC team will soon prepare a report and share it with the INNOTAL team.

Representatives of universities from Philippines, Nepal, India and Sri Lanka also participated in the preparatory meeting to prepare strategies to improve graduates’ employability. Three other Indian universities viz University of Madras, RK University, and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University also participated in the meeting. The next meeting of the entire team will be held at Pokhara University in Nepal.
