Hyderabad: There was an appreciable rise by 2.1 to 4 degrees Celsius in the day temperatures at one or two places in Telangana State during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday.

Adilabad once again recorded the highest maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius. This is stated to be the highest recorded during the last 10 years. The Met Department bulletin said the maximum temperature were above normal at many places across the State.

While Hyderabad, Medak and Nizamabad recorded 41 degrees Celsius each, Bhadrachalam, Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda had a high of 40 degrees C each. There was a high of 39 degrees C each in Hakimpet, Khammam and Ramagundam, while Hanamkonda recorded 38 degrees C.

The bulletin said dry weather prevailed in Telangana State. The day temperatures were above normal by 1.6 to 3 degrees C at many places.

It warned that the temperatures would continue to be above normal by two degrees Celsius and that the highest is likely to be above 40 degrees Celsius at isolated places in all districts for the next two days.
