​Hyderabad: Taking strong objection to the comment made by Industries Minister KT Rama Rao that the Congress was a third-rate party, the working president of TPCC M Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday said the Minister was speaking with no knowledge of history.
Addressing the media, he said it was the Congress which brought independence to the country and history of Congress was history of the country. It was the same Congress which has given statehood to Telangana, he added. Referring to the comments of the Minister that Congress has been following dynasty politics, he said the heirs of Nehru, Indira and Rajiv entered the politics due to the demand of the nation.
He pointed out that Indira Gandhi was not Minister in Jawaharlal Nehru cabinet, Rajiv was not in the cabinet of Indira, and Rahul Gandhi was not a member of Rajiv Gandhi’s council of ministers. Sonia Gandhi refused to become Prime Minister though she had opportunity for 10 years.
