Hyderabad: Man stabbed to death for failing to serve chicken

A man was stabbed to death in Hyderabad for failing to serve chicken during the dinner at an engagement function on Sunday night.

The incident took place at the Tariqat Manzil function hall in Hussainialam when a rowdy-sheeter along with his associates stabbed a man to death.

The police informed that the accused Ashwaq and few others went to have dinner at the function hall around 1 am. While they asked to serve chicken, the victims - Anwar and Sohail informed them that the meat is over and they need to wait as the chicken is being brought from outside.

However, this led to an argument and the accused called their associates. 15 members turned up at the venue immediately and ruthlessly stabbed the victims.

Anwar succumbed to death due to stabbing while Sohail sustained a deep injury on his back and has been shifted to OGH where he is undergoing treatment. Police have taken few suspects into custody.
