Hyderabad: With disruptions causing adjournments in Parliament and the protests by the TRS leaders not fetching any result, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has asked the party MPs to return to Hyderabad. The TRS MPs have protested in the Parliament seeking 12 per cent reservations to Minorities and tribals besides implementation of promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act during the second phase of sessions.

The MPs had protested for about 10 days by coming into the Well of the House at a time when the Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress gave notices for taking up no-confidence motion against the NDA government. There was criticism that the TRS was deliberately trying to disrupt the House by coming into the Well. Later, the TRS MPs decided not to protest and take up their issue by taking part in the discussions.

With the House not running smoothly and getting adjourned on daily basis without carrying out any major business, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has asked all his MPs to return to Hyderabad. The CM is learnt to have said that there was no point being in Parliament when there was no business being carried out. He told them that it would be better meeting people and solving their issues in their constituencies. It may be mentioned here that the Chief Minister had also planned to visit Delhi, but the tour was called off.

Many leaders including MPs, MLAs and others were in New Delhi to witness the swearing in of the three new TRS members in Rajya Sabha. After the directions of the Chief Minister, all the MPs, who were stationed in New Delhi, returned to Hyderabad.
