Hyderabad: Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) Secretary Dr A Ashok asked the managements' of the private junior colleges to stop conducting classes during the current summer vacation.

Addressing the representatives of the private college managements during a meeting here on Monday, he asked them to comply with the directions given by the Board. Further, stringent action will be taken against those who are holding classes in violation of the directions, he added.

That apart, he asked them to submit their applications to grant recognition by April 15. He said the private colleges intending to run the hostels attached to the junior colleges can submit their applications without late fee by April 15.

Ashok assured that he would take their grievances to the notice of the State government. Earlier, the management representatives in their memorandum said that the norms to run the hostels notified by the Board are too stringent and sought certain relaxations.
