TJS to tread AAP path to garner people’s support
The Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) has decided to go the Aam Aadmi Party way to garner support from people. A team of leaders from AAP and Swaraj Abhiyan would assist the TJS leaders in reaching out to people.
Hyderabad: The Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) has decided to go the Aam Aadmi Party way to garner support from people. A team of leaders from AAP and Swaraj Abhiyan would assist the TJS leaders in reaching out to people.
The TJS leaders, who want to utilise the social media to a greater extent to spread their message, said that AAP was successful in taking their message to the people effectively and went on to defeat Congress and BJP in New Delhi. The leaders feel that experience of AAP would help the TJS in the same way.
Recently, AAP leader Somnath Bharati and Swaraj Abhiyan leader Yogendra Yadav met TJAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram and discussed the strategy to be adopted in the elections. Kodandaram has been giving example of how AAP succeeded in defeating Congress and BJP in a short while, which were stronger in terms of money and muscle power.
According to TJS leaders, the social team which worked for AAP had given action plan to TJAC chief. Sources said that the team in Telangana would be assisted by AvinashMalaviya. The team has given a blue print and it contains various means to attract people, and strategise usage of social media. As Delhi State has entire urban population and Telangana has 43 per cent urban population, the team had suggested the TJS to adopt different strategies for urban and rural areas.
The team has suggested setting up of Mohalla committees, which were active during the AAP election campaign and attracted people with their discussions. The team wants similar committees in Telangana, which may not be directly linked with the political party activities and restrict themselves to creating awareness among the masses.
The team suggested the TJS leaders to have committees with lawyers, journalists, Information Technology persons, social media at booth level so that the message of the party can reach people at booth level, said a senior JAC leader.
To study the problems of people and to bring out solutions, committees would be formed by involving former bureaucrats, professors and experts in different fields.
TJAC leader G Venkat Reddy said the leaders were busy with meetings on how to take the activities forward. He said that their main aim was to make the April 29 public meeting a success. The JAC leader said that they have approached Court as the district authorities had cancelled the permission for the JAC to organise public meeting at Saroornagar stadium.
