Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi is likely to discuss success of government programmes in about eight to 10 resolutions to be adopted in the party plenary, scheduled on April 27.

TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday formed committee headed by MP K Keshava Rao for finalising resolutions to be taken up in the plenary. A senior leader, who is part of the committee, said that though the committee was yet to meet, the Chief Minister has directed them to frame resolutions based on the achievements of TRS government.

“We would meet during the next two-three days and finalise the draft resolutions and submit to the Chief Minister, who has asked us to have resolutions just like the last year’s plenary,” said the TRS leader.

He further added that there were many issues to be discussed during the plenary, including the welfare activities of the government. The leader said no other government in the country was spending the way TRS government was through different schemes like Aasara pensions to old aged, widows, single women, specially-abled etc. There would be discussion on important flagship programmes like irrigation projects, Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya etc.

Sources said that the CM wanted the resolutions to be short and descriptive so that it does not take much time since the meeting ends within a day. Earlier, there used to be 13 to 14 resolutions. But now, there may be 10 or less than that, said the TRS leader.

There are many issues to discuss, but the important programmes would be taken up for discussion including the Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak, KCR kit, etc.

Sources said that there may be political resolutions including the reservations to Minorities and SC, STs. The plenary would again demand the Centre to handover the reservation rights to the States during the plenary. After the committee prepares the draft, the Chief Minister would finalise the resolutions, said the TRS leader.
