Hyderabad: The State government is all set to introduce a new land registration system from June this year. The new system is aimed at bringing more transparency and curb corrupt practices in the registration process.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao held a review meeting on progress regarding new registration system and also the creation of Dharani website for regular monitoring of registration process in the State. Before launching the new registration system, government will take up its implementation on pilot basis in 35 mandals in two phases.

Based on the outcome, the State Stamps and Registration department will update new registration process. The implementation of the Dharani website will also be taken up on pilot basis in five mandals in first phase and 30 mandals in second phase in May. The application of the website will be made available throughout the State in a phased manner.

KCR instructed the officials to provide necessary logistic support in all Mandal Revenue Offices (MRO) to take up registrations under the new system as the government decided to accord powers to Revenue department in the mandals where registration department has no offices. He asserted coordination between state IT, Land registration and Revenue departments in the execution of land registrations and use of Dharani website.
