Hyderabad: Congress leader A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday said that he has neither sought permission for padayatra and nor the high command refused it.

In an informal chat with the media, he said he did not seek permission from the high command to hold a padayatra in the State. Though he had intentions about it when he was in Telugu Desam, the idea was dropped after joining the Congress.

He said he has sought permission for a special programme for his constituency. He made it clear that he was ready to do any work being entrusted by PCC President to him. He has been participating in the Bus Yatra as the high command instructed.

Revanth Reddy exuded confidence that the Congress would win majority seats in the north Telangana than the southern region. The party would win all the seats where the community to which the Chief Minister belongs holds the sway. Telangana people would not allow the rule of a family.

The MLA said it was only K Chandrashekar Rao who said that his family would not have any relation with politics and following exactly the opposite activity. The Chief Minister allowed his entire family to take part in the politics and this is being questioned. The Chief Minister said the TRS agenda would be akin to that of the Maoists. But now it seems that he has been implementing quite opposite programme.

Revanth Reddy alleged that the MIM and TRS have been backing Janata Dal in Karnataka with the pressure of BJP President Amit Shah. Efforts have been made in Karnataka to reduce the number of seats of the Congress by encouraging JD.

He wanted to know whether the TRS chief and MIM president promise that the JD would not have any deal with the BJP after the elections in Karnataka. The alliance of JD and BJP would prove the sincerity of TRS.
