Siddipet: The Agricultural Market Committee (AMC) of Siddipet has been certified by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) with ISO 9001: 2015 certification on Wednesday. The AMC is the first agriculture market yard in the State to be certified by the ISO 9000, which deals with the fundamentals of quality management system, besides requirements that organisations wishing to meet needs of customers and other stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product or service.

It merely certifies that a management system, manufacturing process, service or documentation procedure has all the requirements for standardisation and quality assurance in terms of scope, normative references, terms and definitions, context of the organisation, leadership, planning, support, operation, performance evaluation and improvement of the organisation or company with third party assessment.

Hym International Certifications Private Limited was instrumental in the assessment of the standards of the AMC of Siddipet to get the certification by the ISO.

Minister Harish Rao expressed his happiness and said the AMC getting ISO 9001 certificate was proud moment for the State in order to provide best services including e-Nam for the welfare of farmers with the cooperation of executive council and the officials and the staff. In a short period, we will put our efforts to get all the AMCs in the State for the ISO certification, said the Minister, who thanked Managing Director of Hym company A Shivaiah for being instrumental in getting the certification.

‘Let’s make Siddipet mosquito-free’
Harish Rao participated in a programme held on the occasion of World Malaria Day and took part in a rally from Municipal Office in the town organised by the medical department on Wednesday morning. He said every person like in Irkode village should keep their houses, including surroundings, clean and green without any scope for breeding of mosquitoes.

All the villages in the district should become mosquito-free to eradicate the diseases like Malaria and Filariasis. Later, the Irrigation Minister attended an awareness programme at Gajwel Market Yard with the farmers, RSS members and agriculture officials on Rythu Bandhu scheme and distribution of patta passbooks to the farmers from May 10. He said the entire process of the scheme would be carried out carefully in his presence in eight days like a celebration in the district without any hurdles.
