Hyderabad: Ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders are making elaborate arrangements for the party’s plenary scheduled on April 27 at GBR Cultural Centre at Kompally on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

The committees formed for the plenary are overseeing the arrangements for the annual meeting, which has attained significance with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao planning to disclose his agenda of the Federal Front. The venue, GBR Gardens, is spread across 90 acres giving scope for ample parking and meeting hall to accommodate 13,000 delegates.

More than 100 delegates from each Assembly constituency are expected to attend the meeting. The meeting venue has been named ‘Pragati Pranganam’ by the party.

There would be 34 registration centres (one for four Assembly constituencies) and about 1,500 volunteers would help the delegates. Registrations will start from 8.30 am onwards. Over 100 NRI delegates are also expected to come.

Separate enclosures have been arranged for the public representatives like MPs, MLAs, MLCs, constituency in-charges, State Executive Committee members and other leaders holding nominated posts. There will be separate food stalls for the VIPs and other party leaders at the venue.

Since the temperatures are on a higher side, the delegates would be served with ‘Ambali’ and butter milk apart from the variety of delicious food. Folk artistes led by Telangana Samskrutika Chairman Rasamayi Balkishan have been doing rehearsals at the venue for their cultural performances.

Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, who came to oversee the arrangements, said the plenary of the party would instill confidence among the party cadre. He ruled out the argument that some of the party leaders were unhappy as the party chief was concentrating only on administration. Rajender said the party and the government were not separate but one. The TRS had disciplined leaders and they would follow the party line, the Minister said.

Stating that all arrangements were complete for the plenary, Peddapally MP B Suman said the people were eagerly waiting for Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao’s speech to the nation.

Bringing qualitative changes in the lives of people was possible only through K Chandrashekar Rao, he said. Chandrashekar Rao made the dream of Telangana a reality and now he would make it ‘Bangaru Telangana’, the MP added.

Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav, MP J Santosh Kumar and party committee leaders were also present at the venue overseeing the arrangements.
