Hyderabad : Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has claimed that his announcement of launching a Federal Front has triggered a big political storm across the country instilling fear among the BJP and Congress parties.

Addressing the TRS party's 17th Plenary session at JBR Gardens in Kompally on Friday, KCR said that the idea of Federal Front has triggered panic among BJP and Congress and it went to the extent that Congress president Rahul Gandhi has described him as an agent of Prime Minister Narender Modi. He said both BJP and Congress have ruled the country for the last 70 years, but failed to bring any development compared to neighbouring China. He alleged that both BJP and Congress have failed to take the country in the right direction. They could not stop suicide by farmers, provided basic infrastructure or even introduced political reforms for the benefit of common man. He said the Federal Front's announcement from Hyderabad has created a political storm in the country and if God gives him strength, then he would lead a movement to show right direction to the nation.

KCR said there was no question of going back on the idea of forming Federal Front. He said a big meeting will be held by October end or early November by the TRS wherein several national leaders would be invited. He also announced that he would visit Tamil Nadu on April 29 to meet DMK leader Stalin. He will also meet former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav on May 2. He said there would be revolutionary changes in the next three months and he would take the Federal Front forward with the slogan water for all fields and water for all farmers. He said BJP and Congress Governments at the Centre have failed to utilise 70,000 TMC of water which could have irrigated 40 crore acres of land. He also proposed that the subjects like Education, Health, Agriculture, Rural and Urban Development should be completely devolved to States. He said that the Central Government should focus only on External Affairs, Home Affairs and Defence.

He said that the time has come for the people of this country to seek freedom from both BJP and Congress.
