Hyderabad: Finance Minister and Chairman of the Cabinet Committee to look into the issues raised by employees Eatala Rajender on Saturday said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would find a solution to the demand that the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) be scrapped and unified service rules be implemented for all government teachers.

The Committee comprising the Ministers held talks with representatives of teachers’ unions and MLCs elected from Teachers Constituencies on their demands here.

Rajendar said the Centre gave its nod to unified services rules, but the issue is still pending in the High Court. The Chief Minister is keen to resolve the legal issues and enforce unified service rules at the earliest.

When the demand for scrapping CPS was raised in the meeting, the Minister said KCR was aware of the seriousness of the issue, and he would hold a meeting on the particular issue with all employees’ unions soon.

Rajender said the demand for lifting the ban on transfers and notional increments would be sorted out once the new academic year began in June this year. He said the Cabinet committee would submit a report to the Chief Minister on employees demands and the outcome of the meeting held with employees’ unions in one or two days.
