Hyderabad: Congress MLA SA Sampath Kumar whose membership of the Assembly has been restored by the High Court after expulsion has reportedly expressed his anguish over the indifferent attitude of the party in the issue.

He vented his ire against the party’s attitude at the meeting of the Legislature Party on Saturday. He questioned the TPCC and CLP for not bringing pressure on the government on restoration of his membership in the House.

Sources in the party said that the meeting of the CLP has been held on the demand of Sampath.
Few days ago, the MLA met the party leaders and expressed his anguish over the complacency in the party.

During the CLP meeting he said that party has left him and his colleague Komatireddy Venkat Reddy in lurch in the past two months. If the court has not restored their membership, party could have continued to be a silent spectator.

Even after the court has restored their membership, party has failed to bring pressure on the government to implement the order. No appeal has been made to the Speaker and to the DGP to restore the facilities to them. The party has failed to raise the issue in the Parliament, he said.

Even the 48-hour hunger strike has been launched on his insistence. Sampath criticised that the party has failed to come to their rescue. Their supporters were in distress as the party did not extend its support.

Meanwhile, CLP leader K Jana Reddy and PCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy have consoled the MLA and told that the party would support him in all ways.
