Hyderabad: State president of BJP Dr K Laxman and party MLA G Kishan Reddy condemned the attack on party national president, Amit Shah at Tirupati on Friday. Condemning the attack, Laxman alleged that it was a pre-planned attempt. Despite the Area Superintendent of Police had alerted on the possibility of such incident taking place, police have not taken any precautions, he said.

Stating that the incident has taken place with the knowledge of TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Laxman said, “The TDP chief has developed cold feet following BJP’s series of victories, which might even spread to Andhra Pradesh.”

Kishan Reddy said that the attack would be treated as an attack on the devotees of Lord Balaji. He said even during the peak of the separate Telangana movement, thousands of devotees from the State had visited Tirumala.

But, there was never any such incident and the attack on Amit Shah reflects moral falling of Chief Minister Naidu. Terming police remained mute spectators to the attack, Kishan Reddy demanded Chandrababu Naidu to tender an unconditional apology to Amit Shah.
