Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said a final decision on the issues pertaining to State government employees, teachers and TSRTC employees would be taken on May 16 after discussions with employees’ associations.

The Chief Minister said he, along with the Cabinet sub-committee members and officials, would meet leaders of employees, teachers and TSRTC employees’ union on May 16 from 3 pm to 4 pm and would announce the decisions at 4 pm the same day.

The Cabinet sub-committee which held discussions with employees’ and teachers’ associations submitted its report to Chandrashekar Rao on Friday evening at Pragathi Bhavan. Finance Minister Eatala Rajender and Energy Minister Jagdish Reddy were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister had a detailed discussion on the report with Chief Secretary SK Joshi and senior officials in the CMO. He instructed Cabinet sub-committee members and officials to meet again and to have a discussion and study the issues more deeply.

He said the Pay Revision Commission to be appointed for this purpose should be revolutionised and should not be in a routine manner. He asked officials of Finance Department to make recommendations in this regard after conducting a study.

He also directed Eatala Rajender to hold Sub-committee meeting along with TSRTC employees’ associations and to invite Transport Minister Mahender Reddy to the meeting.
