​Hyderabad: In a warning, the Met department bulletin said on Tuesday that thunderstorms with gusty winds are very likely to occur on May 16 at isolated places in Jayashankar-Bhupalapally, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Khammam, Jangaon, Mahabubabad, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool, Vikarabad, Rangareddy, Medak, Warangal, Hyderabad and Jogulambha-Gadwal districts.

The bulletin said that there were thunderstorms with gusty winds in the above 14 districts on Tuesday. Rain occurred at many places in the State, With Ramannapeta in Nalgonda district and Peddamul in Ranga Reddy district recording 5 cm of rainfall each.

The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in Telangana were: Nalgonda, Mulakalapally (Khammam district), Bheemadevarpally (Karimnagar), Wanaparthy (Mahbubnagar) Madhira (Khammam) 3 each, Machareddy (Nizamabad), Karimnagar, Nagarkurnool, Bhuvanagiri (Nalgonda), Dharmasagar, Parkal (both in Warangal), Yellandu (Khammam), Thimmapur (Karimnagar) 2 each.

There was one cm rain each in Huzurabad, Zaffergadh, Gandeed, Thollada, Makthal, Narmetta, Mahbubnagar, Kothagudem, Manthani, Venkatapur, Hakimpet IAF station, Sathupalle, Mogullapalle, Hasanparthy, Sultanabad, Chevella, Yedapalle, Mahbubabad, Shayampet, Saroornagar, Bhupalpalle, Julurpad, Atmakur, Burgampadu, Palakurthi, Suryapet , Nallabelly, Kosgi, Hanamkonda, Gudur, Hyderabad Airport, Gambhiraopet. Ghattu.

According to the bulletin, the highest day temperature of 43 degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad. The other temperatures registered in the State were: Nizamabad 42, Medak 41, Nalgonda, Ramagundam & Khammam 40 each, Mahbubnagar & Hyderabad 39 each, Bhadrachalam 38, Hakimpet & Hanamkonda 37 each.

The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places from May 16 to 19. No large change during May 20-22 is the weather outlook.
