Heavy Rain lashes city, Metro rail services disrupted

Metro rail services between Miyapur – Nagole corridor have come to a grinding halt for more than 50 minutes in Hyderabad as the city was hit by heavy rains and high speed winds on Thursday.

To ensure the safety of commuters, the metro rail suspended the services starting from 16:30 pm and resumed at 17.20 pm . The officials said that due to poor visibility and high wind speeds , train speed was also reduced .

“Due to high wind speed upto 72 kmph and poor visibility there was a minor disruption in metro services from 1630 hrs to 1720 hrs to ensure safety of commuters. We regret the inconvenience and normal services have resumed from 1720 hours,” tweeted LTMRHL officials.
