Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Friday interacted with the reporters at the Secretariat in Hyderabad where he said that the BJP could not push their brand of 'Hindutva' politics in the state as it would not work during the elections in Telangana.

KTR said that the TRS was an independent party and not the 'B-Team' of the BJP or Congress adding that they neither fear Narendra Modi nor Rahul Gandhi.

Asserting that the Telangana people are the bosses and they are accountable and answerable only to them, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao himself conducted Yagams and known for his dharmic lifestyle while the strong Hindu-Muslim fabric in TRS rule might not let the BJP push its Hindutva agenda.

When quizzed about succeeding his father KCR, the Minister made it clear that there were no such plans and that KCR would stay active in politics for at least the next 10 to 15 years.

KTR even expressed confidence on TRS sweeping the Assembly elections in 2019 across the state.
