In its latest report, the study showed the growth in three sectors, except for IT, in the latest Naukri Job Speak index released by the government on April-2018. The report also reveals that automobiles, construction, and engineering departments are continuing to witness a rise.

Job Trends in Metro Cities
In Mumbai and Kolkata, the IT industries have witnessed growth every year while it has decreased by almost four percent in Bangalore and Hyderabad, according to the report. While Kolkata has witnessed growth by 5% each year, Mumbai has 4% growth and one percent in Chennai. The survey also revealed that Pune is also at the one percentage point.

The new sectors which have been in the forefront in the IT sector are declining while the growth in the automobile, industrial and manufacturing sectors is substantial. The latest report shows a slight improvement in BPO, insurance, banking, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors.

  • Insurance 06%
  • Banking 05%
  • Pharma, Biotech 04 %

While the growth rate is temporarily downgraded in the IT sector in Hyderabad, new companies and projects are predicted to be coming up soon. With the arrival of IT, hardware policy and TS-IPAAS, the country and foreign giant companies have started arriving in Greater Hyderabad.
