Hyderabad: The State wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has demanded stringent action against employees staging protests wearing black badges on the Tirumala hills.

VHP State leader Ravinuthala Sasidhar on Friday wanted to know as to how black-badge protests were allowed in the temple town by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). Criticising the TTD and the ruling Telugu Desam, he said that the issues raised by the former chief priest of the temple were not in any way related to the employees.

When there was a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), it would not in any way cause any kind of loss to employees. Then, why the employees were staging protests? he questioned.

Terming it the handiwork of the non-Hindu employees working in TTD and the Left groups with the active support of the ruling party in the State, he questioned as to what the Executive Officer was doing when irreligious activities like protests were taking place in the temple town.

Reiterating the demand for a CBI probe, Sasidhar asked as to why the employees have to worry about a probe into the alleged missing of jewellery of the presiding deity of Tirumala.

And, demanded to probe into the ill-gotten wealth of leaders of the employee associations and immediately remove Joint Executive Officer Srinivasa Raju from his post.
