Hyderabad/Vijayawada: Former Minister and TDP Telangana unit senior leader Motkupalli Narsimhulu has been expelled from the party for indulging in anti-party activities.

In a hectic political development on Monday on the second day of party’s annual conclave, Mahanadu, in Vijayawada, TDP Telangana president L Ramana announced the removal of Motkupalli hours after the latter fired a salvo at TDP national committee president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Ramana, who is attending Mahanadu, said the party took serious note of Motkupalli’s comments against the TDP chief and the party’s disciplinary committee has decided to remove the leader without issuing any showcase notice. He also said the party membership of the TDP leader also stands cancelled with immediate effect.

It may be noted that Motkupalli has been maintaining distance from party activities for the last six months as he was sulking on party high command for not fulfilling the promise of appointing him as Governor or Rajya Sabha member.

His demand to join hands with TRS in the next elections was also rejected by the party high command. Earlier speaking to newsmen after paying floral tributes to party Founder president N T Rama Rao on the occasion of his 95th birth anniversary at NTR Ghat, Motkupalli fired a salvo at Naidu. He alleged that TDP Chief failed to stick to his word and forgot about him after assuming the high position. Naidu have no moral values and sold Rajya Sabha tickets to millionaires.

He also demanded Naidu to hand over the party’s leadership to Nandamuri family as they were only entitled to continue NTR’s legacy in State politics. The suspended party leader also said junior NTR was the only suitable leader to lead Telugu Desam.

Stating that the Naidu ousted Daggubati Venkateshwara Rao couple after he became the Chief Minister, Motkupalli said Nandamuri Harikrishna too was shunted out from the party.

He demanded Naidu to tender resignation to the post of party president and hand over the baton to Nandamuri family.
