Municipal Administration Minister K. Tarakarama Rao and Under Secretary General of United Nations and Executive Director of UN Environment Herrick Soleheim will be participating at the programme  at Peoples Plaza on 1st June 2018 from 12 noon onwards.

Hyderabad : Municipal Administration Minister K. Tarakarama Rao and Under Secretary General of United Nations and Executive Director of UN Environment Herrick Soleheim will be participating at the programme at Peoples Plaza on 1st June 2018 from 12 noon onwards.

To make Hyderabad Plastic Free City the GHMC is planning to take some of the programmes on World Environment Day which is scheduled to be held on 5th June as a part of its some of the programmes are being conducted from 1st to 5th June to create awareness about the pollution etc.,

The programme is aimed at declaring Hyderabad City as a single use plastic free by 2022. KTR will flagg off 100 automated auto waste collected tippers for plastic and other use. A black bag special campaign for waste collection for residential welfare associations will be launched. The Minister will also flag off 20 electrical vehicles for the Municipal Corporation by EESL.
