Telangana readies for Formation Day bash

​Hyderabad: Tourism Minister A Chandulal on Thursday said that all arrangements for the Telangana Formation Day have been made in order to make it success in an unique manner. Telangana Formation Day celebrations will be held on June 2.

Addressing a press conference here along with Tourism Secretary B Venkatesham at the Secretariat, Chandulal said that for the first time in the country, para motoring would be organised at Bison Polo grounds in the city. Joy ride would also be made available at the venue between June 3 and June 5 during morning and evening hours. About 1,000 artists would be performing ‘Sanksritika Jatara’ from Lumbini Park to People’s Plaza, said the Minister.

The Minister released a brochure relating to the para-motoring at Bison Polo Grounds during the occasion. The tourism department would organise Telangana food festival, 3D mapping of historical and heritage places at People’s Plaza and exhibition of paintings of over 200 famous artists at State Art gallery.

Secretary Venkatesham said that the programs were being organised in such a way that the world would know the history and culture of Telangana. The State level awardees would be felicitated at Ravindra Bharati at 6:00 pm on June 2.

Meanwhile, Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) started ‘Kaleshwaram Irrigation Project Special Tour’. The Minister and other officials released brochure relating to the special tour. Tourism Corporation MD B Manohar and other officials were also present.
