Hyderabad: Sparks flew at ‘Dasa-Disa’ programme, which was jointly organised by Hmtv and The Hans India in FTAPCCI auditorium on Saturday. The programme was organised on the occasion of fourth anniversary of Telangana Formation Day.

Representatives of political groups, social organisations and student bodies took active part in the discussions on the achievements of the State in the last four years. During the beginning of the debate, the Congress and TDP leaders questioned the State government’s seriousness over irrigation projects alleging corruption at different levels. Dasoju Sravan held that the government was wasting public money by abandoning the works taken up by the previous government.

TDP Politburo member R Chandrasekhar Reddy held that farmers were at the receiving end as government had failed to fulfil the promises. Responding to this Balka Suman refuted that the State government had failed at different levels and referred to the statistics of the Central government agencies where Telangana was ranked better in terms of capital investment, GSDP, Industrial Growth, Agriculture produce, power production, IT exports and service sector.

Student groups alleged that the TRS was in nexus with corporate institutions, as no action was taken against fleecing from students let alone the promise of KG to PG free education.
