GHMC Mayor Dr. B. Rammohan has appealed all the officials, Corporators, Public Representatives, RWAs, NGOs to actively participate in the prestigious Telangana Harithaharam Programme to achieve the target of planting 230 crores trees.

Hyderabad : GHMC Mayor Dr. B. Rammohan has appealed all the officials, Corporators, Public Representatives, RWAs, NGOs to actively participate in the prestigious Telangana Harithaharam Programme to achieve the target of planting 230 crores trees.

The Mayor directed the officials to conduct Ward Committee, Area Sabhas, Area Committee meetings continuously for two days by taking up Wards 1-75 on first day and remaining 75-150 wards the other day by involving all the Corporators, RWAs and NGOs. He said there should be an action plan for Harithaharam Programme in their respective jurisdiction and responsibility should be fixed for all the officials and public representatives.

Rammohan said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has taken of this prestigious project after many surveys. He said everyone must take moral responsibility to make entire City and State green and pollution free.

GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy said that as a part of World Environment Day, the officials should organise Self Assessment Day on 5th of every month. Awards should be presented to the best colony which has ensure proper maintenance.

Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, all Additional Commissioners, Zonal Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Deputy Directors of UB and senior officials of GHMC have participated in the Harithaharam Programme meeting held today at GHMC Headquarters at Tank Bund.
