Hyderabad: Drunk businessman injures two cops in attempt to escape police check

Cyberabad police on Saturday arrested a businessman on charges of driving his car in an inebriated condition and hitting two police personnel in Shamshabad.

The man, identified as Suman Choudhary returning from the airport road towards Trident Hospital. On noticing the traffic police personnel conducting drunk driving checks, he tried to speed off without stopping his vehicle despite the police signalling him to do so.

In an attempt to block him, Sub Inspector Ravinder Naik and a Home Guard suffered minor injuries when the businessman attempted to flee the place instead hit both the police personnel. However, the police managed to nab Choudhary, who was then placed under arrest.
