​Hyderabad: The Southwest Monsoon advanced and covered entire Telangana on Friday. It was normal in the State. Very heavy rain occurred at many places in Mancherial district and there were heavy showers in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy, Kamareddy, Jagtial and Nirmal districts.

The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in the State were: Chennur (Mancherial) 13, Mortad (Nizamabad) 10, Utnur (Adilabad) 9, Ibrahimpatnam (Ranga Reddy), Madnur (Kamareddy), Sarangapur (Jagtial), Kammarpalle (Nizamabad) 8 each, Metpalle (Jagtial), Nirmal, Kotgiri (Nizamabad), Khanapur (Nirmal) 7 each, Ranjal, Jakranpalle (both in Nizamabad), Kaleswaram (Bhupalpally), Boath (Adilabad) and Manthani (Peddapally) 6 each.

There was five cm rain each in Dharpalle, Yedapalle (both in Nizamabad), Birkoor (Kamareddy), Balkonda, Bheemgal (both in Nizamabad) Mudhole, Shriramsagar (both Nirmal). Four cm rainfall occurred in Velpur, Bodhan (both in Nizamabad), Damaragidda (Mahbubnagar), Asifabad (Komaram Bheem), Armur (Nizamabad) and Nizamabad, while Varni, Dichpalle (both in Nizamabad), Bhupalpalle, Ramgundam (Peddapally) and Nandipet (Nizamabad) recorded 3 cm each.

Two cm of rain each occurred in Kollapur (Nagarkurnool), Jukkal (Kamareddy), Mahbubabad, Luxettipet ( Mancherial), Parkal (Warangal Rural), Bhuvanagiri, Makloor (Nizamabad), Pitlam (Kamareddy), Ghattu (Jogulamba Gadwal), Huzurabad (Karimnagar) and Adilabad.

Following the rain, the day temperatures in the State fell sharply during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday. The bulletin warned of heavy to very heavy rain likely to occur at several places in all districts of Telangana on June 9.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely at many places from June 9 to 12. No large change during the period June 13-15 is the weather outlook.
