A man from Telangana has been named the coach for Indian Kabaddi team. The International Kabaddi Player and noted coach, L Srinivas Reddy, was appointed as Indian national Kabaddi team coach ahead of Master’s Cup in Dubai.

During the week-long tournament to be held between June 22 and 30, India will pit against Pakistan, Kenya, Argentina, South Korea and Iran for top honours.

A native of Sangareddy district, Srinivas Reddy previously had also coached Australian and Korean national teams.

In the 2014 Asian Games, he coached South Korean men’s team, which had won the first Bronze medal in Guangzhou and in 2016, coached the national Kabaddi team of Australia during the world championships.

In the Pro-Kabaddi league, Reddy had worked as an assistant coach of Telugu Titans and Haryana Steelers. In the upcoming Pro-Kabaddi league, he will be mentoring Jaipur Pink Panthers.
