3 Mahbubnagar Congress leaders join TRS
Congress MLC K Damodar Reddy and former MLAs Edma Kista Reddy (Kalwakurthy) and V M Abraham (Alampur) joined Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Saturday. Although it was announced that TRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would attend the programme at Telangana Bhavan to welcome the leaders into the party on Saturday evening, he could not make it.
Hyderabad: Congress MLC K Damodar Reddy and former MLAs Edma Kista Reddy (Kalwakurthy) and V M Abraham (Alampur) joined Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Saturday. Although it was announced that TRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would attend the programme at Telangana Bhavan to welcome the leaders into the party on Saturday evening, he could not make it.
It was left to Cabinet Ministers T Harish Rao, Eatala Rajender, C Laxma Reddy, Jupally Krishna Rao to welcome the new entrants into the party. Mahbubnagar TRS MLAs, including Guvvala Balaraju, V Srinivas Goud, were in attendance for the programme.
Addressing the gathering, the Ministers called upon politicians to cut across their party lines and strive for Bangaru Telangana. They said the Chief Minister was striving to achieve Bangaru Telangana because of which leaders from various parties are keen on switching their loyalties to the pink party.
A large number of followers from Nagarkurnool, Kalwakurthy, Alampur constituencies reached the city in vehicles to participate in the programme.
