American Oncology Institute celebrates Cancer Survivors Day
American Oncology Institute (AOI), a US-based chain of cancer hospitals, honoured the brave spirit of Cancer Survivors on the occasion of the National Cancer Survivors Day on Saturday.
Hyderabad: American Oncology Institute (AOI), a US-based chain of cancer hospitals, honoured the brave spirit of Cancer Survivors on the occasion of the National Cancer Survivors Day on Saturday.
The event was organized in esteemed presence of Dr M Babaiah, Medical Director, AOI Hyderabad and Nilesh Gupta, Zonal Director, AOI Hyderabad, and Shiva Reddy, Tollywood actor. Dr Babaiah said, “Cancer is curable. Today we are able to cure about 50-60 per cent of cancers because of technological advancements in all fields of cancer treatment.
New technologies play a vital role to control several cancers. Nilesh Gupta put in, “National Cancer Survivors Day is a day when we celebrate the inspirational stories of real life heroes. The people who have been on a difficult journey, but never lost hope. We are happy to share that AOI is the reason behind many of these smiles”.
Cancer survivors who gathered here along with their families and friends narrated their struggle in the battle with cancer. Artiste Shiva Reddy and Rocking Rakesh of Jabardasth Fame entertained the crowd with their performance.
