Review on Godavari floods held
Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao directed the officials concerned to provide details of flood situation of every moment and alert the people.
Kothagudem: Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao directed the officials concerned to provide details of flood situation of every moment and alert the people.
He attended a review meeting held at Sub-Collector office in Bhadrachalam on Monday, to discuss Godavari floods with all district officials. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister told them to store buffer stocks in all mandals and to announce flood levels in all villages. He told them not to neglect their duties, especially during flood times in all agency areas.
The health officials and staff were told to be ready with all kinds of medicines to supply to agency people and prevent seasonal diseases in tribal villages. Tummala told them to set up a control room in Sub-Collector office and take measures to prevent any loss in villages.
District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, Joint Collector M Ram Kishan, PO ITDA Pamela Satpathy, Sub-Collector Mishra, DRDA PD Jagath Kumar Reddy and other district officers attended the meeting.
