The participants of 65th batch of Vakta felt like a ‘spark was ignited’ in their lives after attending the two-day training session on public speaking, which was jointly organised by Hmtv and Kaushalya School of Life Skills, in Jubilee Hills on June 9 and 10. 

Hyderabad: The participants of 65th batch of Vakta felt like a ‘spark was ignited’ in their lives after attending the two-day training session on public speaking, which was jointly organised by Hmtv and Kaushalya School of Life Skills, in Jubilee Hills on June 9 and 10.

Most of those who took part felt like transforming into a personality which has the capacity to change the society. The aspiring politicians and social workers filled with high-level of self-confidence vowed to bring an impact in the society with their enhanced communication skills. Some of them felt a complete change in their attitude and body language within two days of training.

The Director (Training), Kapil Group and the lead faculty of the programme D Bal Reddy, who gave tips on public speaking, asked the participants to note down and practice them regularly if they were seriously aiming to transform themselves into good orators.

Public speaking, he explained, was a kind of skill, which everyone could learn by regular practice. Emphasising the importance of presentation, he pointed out that the beautifully packaged goods were the first to attract attention just because of their ‘presentation’.

S Anand Parjanya, faculty on body language, trained the participants on maintaining their posture while delivering a speech and communicating at a public place. He explained as to how an orator should communicate the subject with the coordinating action of hands.

K Srikanth, another faculty, explained important techniques of voice modulation, since a good speaker maintains a high tone while delivering the speech. He made students practice some of the important tips and showed how voice culture and modulation can make a person an effective public speaker.

While providing their feedback, Dr S Sanjeev Kumar from Kurnool felt like a spark was ignited by the training programme which would bring a positive change in the life. He noted that the inspirational programme was not only helpful in unplugging the talents, but also helps people to understand how social service was important.

A Saikrishna from Secunderabad felt like he was introduced to himself through this programme, while T Nagesh from Suryapet vowed to bring a change in himself with the tips provided during the training.
