Collector, MLA review progress of canal modernisation works
District Collector Anitha Ramachandran has directed the officials to take necessary steps to complete the modernisation works of Pillaipally, Bundigani and Dharma Reddy canal works on a war-footing to provide Irrigation facility to Ayacut farmers in this khariff season.

The Collector along with Bhongir MLA P Shekar Reddy and Joint Collector G Ravi Naik was holding a review meeting with the officials here on Tuesday. Shekar Reddy advised the engineers to complete the works of the canal at the earliest as the process of land acquisition was completed.
Compensation was also paid to landholders, he said RDO Bhupal Reddy, Special Deputy Collector Shivaji, Irrigation Executive Engineer Sanjeeva Reddy, Department of Survey and Land Records AD Madhusudhan, DEs, AEs and contractors participated in the meeting.
