Eminent personalities attend Congress Iftar party
Eminent religious, political and media personalities, including former Union Ministers, attended the Iftar party hosted by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) at Red Rose Palace on Tuesday evening.
Hyderabad : Eminent religious, political and media personalities, including former Union Ministers, attended the Iftar party hosted by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) at Red Rose Palace on Tuesday evening.
Addressing the gathering, TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the minorities were feeling insecure ever since Narender Modi became the Prime Minister. He also regretted rising attacks on minorities across the country under the BJP Government.
Uttam Kumar Reddy also criticised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for not fulfilling the promise of giving 12% Muslim reservation. Calling KCR 'Mini Modi', he said that the Chief Minister had supported the BJP Government in all its moves like demonitisation and GST and TRS MPs also voted in favour of BJP candidates in the elections for President and Vice President. He said KCR has lost moral ground to seek votes from the Muslim community. He accused KCR of having a secret alliance with the BJP. He said voting for TRS or MIM would be like voting for BJP.
The TPCC chief alleged that KCR and Asaduddin Owaisi were indirectly helping Modi Government. He said that the Congress was the true secular party which has ensured the social, economic and educational development of Muslims in the country.
Former Union Ministers CM Ibrahim and S Jaipal Reddy, CLP leader K Jana Reddy, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, AICC Secretaries V. Hanumantha Rao and Madhu Yashki Goud, legislators, former MPs, legislators and leaders of all frontal organisations also participated in the Iftar party.
Siasat Urdu Daily Editor Amer Ali Khan, MBT leader Amjedullah Khan Khaled, MJ College Secretary Zafar Jaweed and prominent Ulema, Mashaiqeen and other personalities from various fields were also present.
Khateeb of Mecca Masjid Moulana Md Rizwan Qureshi offered dua and also led Maghrib prayers. Mufti Sadeq Mohiuddin and religious personalities also attended the Iftar.
The guests were served Haleem, Biryani and other delicacies of Hyderabad in the Iftar party.
