KTR proposes more zones, circles in Greater Hyderabad
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao on Tuesday has instructed his department to come up with the proposal to increase the zones and circles in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for more effective administration. Â Â
​Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao on Tuesday has instructed his department to come up with the proposal to increase the zones and circles in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for more effective administration.
At a meeting with the GHMC officials here, KTR asked the GHMC Commissioner, B Janardhan Reddy, to submit a proposal to the government for increasing the circles from the existing 30 to 50 and zones from the present 6 to 10, so that the development works could be taken up in on fast pace and in a transparent way.
He also reviewed the progress of road restoration works, nalas desiltation, critical bottle necks, waterlogging points and the action plan for monsoon preparedness. Corporation’s Chief Engineers, Zonal Commissioners and Town Planning officials were asked to be on their toes.
The Minister also directed the police officials to coordinate with the GHMC for taking up road restoration works and complete them as per the target assigned.
