Bahujan Left Front demands basic facilities in slums
Bahujan Left Front (BLF) district unit leader Y Vikram here on Friday demanded that the government provide basic facilities for people in Ramanagutta, Vikalangula and Sri Ramgiri colonies in the 26th division here.
Khammam: Bahujan Left Front (BLF) district unit leader Y Vikram here on Friday demanded that the government provide basic facilities for people in Ramanagutta, Vikalangula and Sri Ramgiri colonies in the 26th division here.
The BLF activists conducted a household survey in the 26th division. People narrated to the BLF leaders that there were no interlinking roads and street lights. The people were angry over the failure on the part of the civic body to provide proper drainage system. The government had failed to build 2BHK houses for the homeless, they said.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram alleged that development of a few localities where the rich people live cannot be considered as all-round development of the city.
He demanded that the government develop the areas like Ramanagutta, Vikalangula Colony and Sri Ramgiri colony in the 26th division where many poor people live. BLF leaders K Gurumurthy, Nakirikanti Chiranjeevi, Ch Bhadram, Prasad and Nageswar Rao were present at the programme.
