Harish Rao promises potable water to all villages by Dasara
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday stated that within three months, every village in Patancheru constituency would get potable water through Mission Bhagiratha.
Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday stated that within three months, every village in Patancheru constituency would get potable water through Mission Bhagiratha.
During his tour to the constituency, the Minister launched the piped drinking water project works worth Rs 18 crore in Bollaram village of Patancheru constituency and addressed the gathering at a local school. He said all the villages, including Jinnaram and Gummadidala, would be provided drinking water besides water for irrigation through Kaleshwaram project before Dasara.
Harish further assured of sanctioning funds for the development of IDA Bollaram village as the Sarpanch urged for the revamp of micro irrigation system, beautification of tank bund, high risk centre, loan sanctions for SHG women and construction of wedding hall.
“From the next month, free diagnosis for eye-related ailments will be conducted by the government for every person and spectacles will be distributed free of cost,” said the Minister, who later inspected the construction works of double bedroom houses in the area. Local legislator G Mahipal Reddy, ZP chairperson Rajamani Murali Yadav, Collector V Venkateshwarlu, Electricity department officials, ZPTCs, MPTCs, Sarpanches and other public representatives and officials participated in the programme.
