Hyderabad: In yet another incident another NEET aspirant, a 19-year-old girl, allegedly committed suicide depressed over results, by hanging self from a ceiling fan at her residence at Bandlaguda under the limits of Rajendranagar police station on late Wednesday night. The victim was hounded for not getting a seat by her relatives and friends, sources said.

The deceased identified as T. Shivani, a medical seat aspirant who attempted for two consecutive times. The victim reportedly went to a marriage function on Tuesday, where her relatives mocked her for not cracking a seat even after taking two years of coaching. She got offended and that could have triggered her to take the extreme step, sources said.

“She went to her room, which was on the first floor of their residence, like any other day. However, she did not show up for dinner on Wednesday night. Then her parents went upstairs to check with her and found her hanging from the ceiling fan,” said K. Rajeswar Reddy, Sub-Inspector of Rajendranagar.
