Awareness rally on drug abuse held

Wanaparthy: Observing the International Drug Abuse Day and trafficking, the students of Jagruti Degree College organised an awareness rally on Tuesday.

The students holding banners and shouting slogans took part in large numbers and held a road show by walking from Subas junction to Gandhi Chowk. The police took precautions to ensure there is no traffic jam and ensured the programme was held without any problems to the public.

Speaking on the occasion, the students’ leaders said that a drug addiction and trafficking has become rampant in the recent years due to fast creeping social media. They advised the students not to fall prey to drugs and spoil their careers.
