Superintendent of Police Prakash Jadav here on Tuesday said the drug addiction has been ruining the lives of the youth. He stressed the need to educate the youth on the ill-effects of drugs. On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse, the police took out an awareness rally from town police station to Public Club here.

On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse, the police took out an awareness rally from town police station to Public Club here.

Addressing the students a a meeting held at Public Club, Prakash Jadav exhorted the youth to keep off drugs. He recalled that the police had seized a huge quantity of ganja on the tip-off given by the students in Suryapet. The students in Suryapet were very smart and he was confident that they would not get addicted to drugs.

He advised the parents to keep a check on their children. As part of the rally, students formed a human chain at court. As a part of the rally students formed Human chain at Court Centre and raised slogans against drugs. DSP Nageswar Rao, Excise Inspector Tirumal Reddy, CCS inspector Akhil Jama, SIs Kranthi Kumar, Santhosh & Jankai Ramulu participated.
