Bhongir: MPs Bhoora Narsiah Goud and Badugula Lingaiah Yadav have directed the officials to speed up the implementation of government schemes in order to benefit more eligible in the district. The duo was participating in a review meeting (DISHA) held at the District Animal Husbandry office meeting hall here.

Addressing the officials, the leaders advised to link MNREGS with vegetables cultivation and fisheries in the district. They asked the officials concerned to motivate small and marginal farmers towards canopy cultivation to avail the 100 per cent subsidy of the scheme and eligible farmers would be assisted with bank loans also.

Responding to pending payments under MNREGS in the district, District Collector Anitha Ramachandran said insufficient deposits in banks was the reason behind the delay in paying wages. Some MPPs brought to the notice of the administration the menace of hanging electrical wires in villages.
