Hyderabad: Amidst the talk of early elections, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday finalised his long- pending visit to Vijayawada. The CM along with his family members will visit Kanakadurga Goddess temple atop Indrakiladri on Thursday.

He will present a nose stud to the goddess in Andhra city as part of fulfilling his vow for realising the long-cherished dream of Telangana state. KCR already released Rs 75 lakh to design the nose stud. Earlier, KCR postponed the visit to the Durga temple twice in the eleventh hour due to some political and personal reasons. Leaders said the TRS chief had prepared his schedule for the government as well as party programmes for the next four months.

Before kick-starting his district visits from June 29 from Gadwal, the Chief Minister wanted to fulfill the vow. The CM accompanied by his family members, including son and IT Minister KT Rama Rao and daughter and MP K Kavitha, will leave for Vijayawada by a special flight and pay obeisance to the Goddess. KCR will return to Hyderabad the same day.

Officials said that the CM will not meet any officials or ministers of Andhra Pradesh during his visit. He, however, might meet a few TDP leaders of the Krishna district during his brief stay in Vijayawada.
