Kothagudem: The enthusiasm of youth aspiring to become cops is worth seeing as they are getting rigorous training at the camps organised by the Integrated Tribal Development Agency(ITDA) and Police department across the district.

With young tribal men, women are also eagerly attending both theoretical and physical training classes which are conducted for the police constable post aspirants.

The ITDA is conducting 45-day pre-examinations coaching camps under the ITDA limits. Nearly 1,200 applicants including BC, SC, and ST candidates attended the free coaching camps.

After the examinations by senior police officers, only 300 aspirants from these candidates attending the coaching camps would be selected for the police constable posts. The officers maintained that 30 per cent jobs are reserved for the women aspirants. The officers selected 150 of tribal women for this programme.

The classes were organised by the Pre-Examinations Training Centre (PETC) under the ITDA. During the 45-day training camp, free meals and hostel facility were provided by the government.

Expert staff from various districts came here and conducted the classes in various subjects prescribed for the test. For the physical training, four physical education teachers were deputed by the government. Every day, early morning and evenings the aspirants would participate in the physical training at grounds.

The district Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu and project officer of ITDA Pamela Sathpathi are themselves monitoring the training classes along with the appointed monitors for the programme in the district.

Apart from the ITDA, the district police department had also conducted the free training camps at the government degree colleges and junior colleges across the district. The District Superintendent of Police Amber Kishore Jha inaugurated the free coaching camps for the posts of police constable sub-divisional wise.

They also provided free learning materials to the aspirants. A large number of women aspirants attended the free coaching camps with enthusiasm, said the SP.

One of the aspirants, Kunja Jyothi said, “it is a good opportunity for getting the government jobs and also served the in the police department. The TRS government had released the notifications for nearly 18,000 posts of constables across the State.”

Now a days we have no fear to join the police department, it is the dream for getting the job in police department for services to the people. Another aspirants P Padma said, “the government job is necessary. The TRS government is giving issuing notifications for recruitments in police and other departments. Now a days, we have worked hard for the government posts.”

“The ITDA and police departments and other departments are giving free training classes for posts of police constables and others posts. It is good encouragement for the aspirants,” she added.
