Mahbubnagar: The All India Trade Union Congress Bus Yatra reached Mahbubnagar district on Friday. Earlier in the day, the Communist Party of India leaders from Mahbubnagar welcomed the Bus Yatra in Jadcherla mandal and from there it entered the district headquarters. The local leaders of CPI and leaders of AITUC welcomed the State leaders touring the Bus Yatra by garlanding them.
Speaking on the occasion, Ujjini Ratnakar Rao, State secretary of AITUC said that both the State and central governments have ignored the labourers and working class people at the state and central levels.
“Both the State and central governments have been following wrong policies which are against the labourers and poor working class people in the country. They ignored the rights of the labourer and have miserably failed to fulfil the promises made to the working class people,” lamented Ratnakar Rao.
He said that AITUC which had got approved 45 different labour laws for the welfare of the labourers and working class through its continuous fight during the past many years.
But after the formation of the Modi government in the country it has confined to just 5 codes and the governments both at the Centre and State are giving priority to corporate companies and capitalists who are fleecing and exploiting the labourers and working class by suppressing their rights.
The AITUC leader alleged that both the state and central governments are meddling with the labour laws and trying to amend the laws so that in future there will be no permanent jobs.
“The central government is trying to meddle with labour laws and trying to mend it so that in future there will not be any permanent jobs. If the amendments come into force it will enable the state government to implement the hire and fire policy and introduce fixed term employment, which will ruined the lives of the labourers and there will be no job security for the employees,” observed the AITUC State secretary.
After one day tour in Mahbubnagar, the Bus Yatra will head towards Vikarabad district, where the AITUC leaders in the state will tour each and every district and create awareness among the people and highlight them about the failure of the state and central governments.
