Nalgonda: When the TRS announced the candidates for the Nalgonda the sitting MLAs were elated that they were given another chance to prove their metal in the Assembly elections. At the same time, the list was silent about the candidates for the Huzurabad and Kodad Assembly segments.
All sitting MLAs who won the elections in 2014 on TRS, leaders who shifted their loyalties to the ruling party later and TRS party Nalgonda and Nagarjuna Sagar constituencies in charges Kancharla Bhupal Reddy, Nomula Narsaiah respectively got party tickets for the upcoming Assembly elections.
In 2014 elections , Minister Jagadish Reddy won from Suryapet Assembly constituency, Gadari Kishore from Tungaturhi, K Prabhakar Reddy from Munugodu, P Shekar Reddy from Bhongir and G Sunitha from Aler constituency and Vemula Veeresham from Nakrekal constituency won on car symbol. Whereas MLA Bhaskar Rao (Congress) from Miryalaguda constituency , R.Ravindra Kumar ( CPI) from Deverakonda Assembly segment along with MP Gutha Sukender Reddy shifted their loyalty to TRS .
All the sitting MLAs got another opportunity to contest from the TRS in next elections from their respective constituencies. Also, Nomula Narsimhaiah, who contested as TRS MLA candidate against the Congress senior leader Jana Reddy in Nagarjuna Sagar constituency in 2014 Assembly election lost and but continued as the party constituency incharge, retained the party MLA ticket for the next election.
Former TDP Nalgonda Assembly constituency incharge, who switched his loyalty to TRS few months ago and being continuing as the TRS Nalgonda constituency incharge got party MLA ticket from Nalgonda Assembly constituency in the next election.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar has not announced name of the party candidate for Huzurnagar and Kodad Assembly constituencies from which TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy and his wife Padmavathi represented.
In 2014, mother of Telangana Martyr Srikath Chary contested from Huzurnagar and Shashidhar Reddy contested from Kodad Assembly constituencies and were defeated. Shashidhar Reddy was honored with nominated post of a chairman of Kodad Market Committee, whereas Shankaramma is continuing as the party incharge of Huzurnagar Assembly segment.
