Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police issued notice to Congress leader and former MLA A Revanth Reddy to appear before them in connection with a cheating and forgery case pertaining to the Jubilee Hills Co-operative Housing Society on Wednesday. Recently, S Rama Rao, a lawyer, complained at the Jubilee Hills police station alleging that Revanth Reddy, when he was the member in the Jubilee Hills Society governing body, had allotted plots fraudulently in 2001.
The issue spread in the media sparking political campaigns in Telangana. Revanth Reddy, in his reply to the police, said as he was busy with political schedules, he could not appear before them in their prescribed time. Later addressing the media in Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy slammed the TRS government and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao that he was never afraid of this sort of notices.
He challenged the TRS supremo to see what would happen in future if he was arrested. Recently, Sanga Reddy former MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy was arrested in the fake passport and visa case by the North Zone police. After that, another Congress leader was targeted in previous cases. This has led to a political discussion in both the Telugu speaking States.
